As an artist and musician, I can see how art is a powerful tool for communication and connection. My work is a reflection of my inner world, and I strive to create pieces that are resonant and provocative.
Experimenting with new techniques and mediums, I push the boundaries of what is possible. My art is not just about creating beautiful images or sounds, but about exploring truth and expressing my perspective. There is a melancholy in my relentlessness countered by rare flashes of joyful epiphanies.
Buying my work is not just about owning a physical piece, but about supporting my creative journey and contributing to its ongoing evolution. By purchasing my work, you are helping to fuel my passion and allowing me to continue exploring new ideas and concepts.

“Bones and Lust”
Imagine stepping into a gallery and being immediately drawn to a painting that seems to possess a mysterious, almost otherworldly quality. "Bones and Lust" is such a painting. Its first impression is arresting, the dimensions of the canvas and the colors used to create an organic surface while hinting at an allegory that begs to be decoded. Inspired by a chamber music piece with the same title for two percussionists by composer and partner John Plankenhorn, this painting hits with force.
The palate is rich but modest, with ochres and blues blending and contrasting to create a depth of color that evokes the very essence of life’s cycle. The textures are sublime and intricate, polished and ridged, like the rocks and stones found on the seashore, in a dessert, or in mountain caves.
The title encapsulates the raw and primal aspects of human desire and passion that are depicted within the layers of the work. The organic textures and tonal shading used in the painting appear to be weathered by time, revealing only crib notes about lusty intermingled stories woven throughout the canvas.
Perhaps you interpret the work as a metaphor for the fundamental human experience of desire that underlies our interactions with the world around us? The use of the word "bones" suggests a sense of bareness and vulnerability, while the word "lust" hints at the intensity and urgency of our desires. Together, these two words capture the essence of the painting, inviting the viewer to explore its intriguing allure.
"Bones and Lust" speaks to the heart of the human experience. It tells the story of the past, present, and future in a way that is both profound and eternal. It is a work of art that invites contemplation and reflection, one that is able to run the gamut from passion to tranquility, to any space in which it is hung. This is a work of art that patiently waits for you to engage with it, to unravel its secrets, and to be inspired by its message. Whether it hangs over your bed, sofa, dining table, or hallway, "Bones and Lust" is a painting that will leave a lasting impression on you and all who have the privilege of viewing it.
